The microK² builds on the success of the original microK models, widely adopted by National Metrology Institutes and commercial laboratories. Retaining Isotech’s proven measurement technology, and capable of uncertainties as low as 7.5 μK, the microK² remains a preferred choice for work with SPRTs and supports all standard thermometer types including standard thermocouples, industrial PRTs and thermistors.
Accuracy and Stability: Superior resistance ratio accuracy and zero drift to ensure long-term stability
Trusted by NMIs: Widely recognised by leading NMIs with independent reports validating its exceptional performance
Choice of four performance levels, offering the right balance of accuracy, capability and budget for any laboratory.
The microK² builds on the success of the original microK models that were quickly adopted by leading National Metrology Institutes and commercial laboratories. Retaining Isotech’s proven measurement technology, and capable of uncertainties as low as 7.5 μK, the microK² remains a first choice for work with SPRTs and supports all standard thermometer types including standard thermocouples, industrial PRTs and thermistors.
The microK² introduces several developments designed to enhance usability, accuracy and flexibility. A new fourth measurement channel accepts SPRTs, reference resistors or the channel expander, broadening system capability. The touchscreen has been upgraded to a 10.1-inch high-resolution display with improved capacitive touch response, while the input terminals are now more robust and easier to use. Connectivity has also been expanded, with Ethernet, two RS232 ports and three USB ports, along with updated software features.
NEW: The microK² family is available in four performance levels, from the highest-accuracy ELITE model through to the 60, 150 and 300 variants. Full accuracy, equivalent temperature performance and detailed specifications are shown in the table and in the datasheet.
Performance by Design – Inherently Drift-Free
The microK was developed with a clear design philosophy: to deliver genuine long-term performance without relying on “tweak pots”, software adjustments or self-calibration routines. This approach results in resistance ratio measurements that are inherently drift-free, providing stable and repeatable performance over time. As a ratio bridge, the microK uses a substitution topology that eliminates drift without compensation circuits or software offsets. The instrument therefore maintains its performance without requiring adjustment or service intervention, reducing long-term operating costs.
Since its introduction in 2006, the microK platform has been rigorously studied and validated by temperature metrologists worldwide, confirming its reliability and long-term stability.
