The wall mounted flow meter is based on transit-time flow measurement principle. It measures flow rate of liquid in a closed pipe by using a pair of clamp-on or wetted ultrasonic transducers. In general, the liquid should be full of pipe, and should contain no or small amount of particles or air bubbles.

Self-powered 4-20mA output

The ultrasonic C6-TDS-100P converter is a fully featured flow meter for liquid flow and heat calculation. It has analog output and relay and pulse digital outputs for totalizer. It can be matched with clamp on sensors, insertion sensors or fully fabricated flanged pipe sensors or ‘π’ style sensors for low flow. Data logging is a standard feature.

Principle of Measurement

When the ultrasonic beam is transmitted through the flowing liquid, there will be a difference between the upstream and downstream transit time (travel time or time of flight), which is proportional to flow velocity,when fluid is flowing, counterflow transit time is more than direct flow transit time. the formula as below.
